An online realty listing has revealed that Hamilton bar and live music venue This Ain't Hollywood is up for sale.

The ad for the bar, located at 345 James Street North, calls the space "ideal as a live music venue and the building is perfect for an owner-operator," also adding that redevelopment of the two-floor structure could be possible. The price tag for the property is listed at $2,149,000.

Venue co-owner Lou Molinaro told CBC News that ownership had been approached by a real estate agent, who said they believed there were interested buyers.

"It was a really tough decision… you grow so attached after 10 years," Molinaro told the broadcaster. "It's still your baby."

Molinaro added that the owners "would love for it to stay a venue," telling CBC News, "We're really hoping that somehow, the bar continues. It's really important to us that there's activity in that room."

Co-owners Molinaro and Glen and Jodie Faulman bought the building in 2009 for just under $350,000. Molinaro told CBC News that This Ain't Hollywood will continue to book shows until at least June of next year.

The venue has played host to artists both from Hamilton and out of town, including Teenage Head, Sparks, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Monster Truck, the Rheostatics, Limblifter and many more.
