Brian Eno Scores Climate Crisis Short Film 'Extinction Emergency'
Extinction Rebellion has teamed up with Brian Eno and Moonlight star Naomie Harris for a new short film titled Extinction Emergency, and Why We Must Act Now.

Eno has scored the animated climate crisis explainer, while Harris has lent her voice to narrate the clip. According to a release, the film aims to summarize "the planet's biodiversity loss, runaway consumerism and the ecological crisis that now faces us," and how these issues will affect the world in years to come.

"Mass extinction has begun, and humans are responsible. All over our planet, one million species are at risk of disappearing forever. A process that the pandemic might accelerate," Harris explains in the film.

The short comes at a time when the climate crisis has been put on the back burner, as the urgency of sociopolitical strife and the ongoing global health emergency remain at the fore.

"I'm proud to be able to lend my voice to this project, which I hope will inspire viewers to get behind the ambitions of Extinction Rebellion with a great deal of urgency," Harris said of the collaborative project.

Miritte Ben Yitzchak directed the film and Mark Ellis wrote its script.
